Brazil Magnesite
Also known as burnt magnesite or refractory magnesite, sintered magnesite is produced by heating magnesite (MgCO₃) to very high temperatures, resulting in magnesium oxide (MgO). This material has a high purity and density and has several important applications. Sintered magnesite is used for the production of refractory linings in blast furnaces, steelworks and cement kilns, in glass production, in the chemical industry as a catalyst, and for the production of magnesium compounds.
