Magnetite
Magnetite (Fe3O4) is an important iron ore and a naturally occurring iron oxide mineral with special physical and chemical properties. Magnetite is used in steel and iron production, as a magnetic material in electronic applications, for the purpose of gravity separation in the mining industry, as a black pigment, and in water treatment.
